Way back in the 60’s Smye-Rumsby was asked to provide a radar service to a ‘hush hush’ customer.

It turned out to be the exiled king of Albania – King Zog. Paul Smye-Rumsby attended and got talking. He was a fairly young man, and he invited Paul and his then fiancé Carol to return for an evening meal.

King Zog prepared the meal himself and a very enjoyable evening was had by all!
