Icom displayed a pair of new commercial GMDSS radios for the first time on their booth at METS. On show were the GM800 MF/HF SSB and GM600 VHF transceivers.

Both models are in the final stages of type approval and will meet the stringent standards required for SOLAS regulated commercial vessels and MED, ‘wheel mark’ approval for European merchant ships.

They feature a modern design and layout. A colour TFT LCD provides a user-friendly display and quick recognition of screen information. Day and night modes can be selected according to the lighting conditions.

You will be able to see both the GM800 and GM600 at the London International Boat Show in January on the Icom stand-C017.
