How Durable Is The Mototrbo Ion?
Motorola designs their devices as tough as the job at hand, and the Mototrbo Ion is no different. With a level of durability that most smartphones can’t match, the Ion is dust-tight and protected from immersion in 2 meters of water for up to two hours.
The touch screen is made from Gorilla Glass 3 with strengthened internal components enabling the device to withstand a 4-foot drop onto concrete. The antennas have also been redesigned to be shorter and more flexible, reducing the chancing of snapping.
The Mototrbo Ion is also the only touchscreen radio that is intrinsically safe, meaning you can use it in any environment without the risk of fire or ignition.
