We have our own fully-equipped workshop on-site at the Smye-Rumsby headquarters, located in Dover, Kent. The workshop is manned by our highly-skilled team of installers, technicians and specialist engineers who are trained to manufacturer approved level. Common repairs and damages

The types of repairs we frequently attend to include:

• Accidental damage
• Faults
• Component failures and replacement such as cables, screen, microphones and battery
• Radio reprogramming

We know that unplanned downtime can cause disruption to your business. Our repairs are completed on-site – providing a prompt service with equipment repaired to manufacturer approved standards. Our technical team are also on hand for support and expertise.

Servicing & Repairs

The Smye-Rumsby on-site workshop is fully equipped to service and repair a wide variety of electronic equipment including everything from individual handheld radios, CCTV systems, audio equipment and much more.

Approved manufacturer repairs

We are repair agents for most major manufacturers, such as Motorola and Hytera, giving us access to cutting edge technology in test equipment, software, and spares to ensure that we can diagnose and rectify any problems as quickly as possible.

System maintenance

To ensure you get the longest possible life out of your radios, we carry out routine maintenance on the systems we supply. Our expert team of engineers are trained to identify potential problems before they happen and with planned downtime to cause as little disruption to your business as possible.

Warranties

All of the radios that Smye-Rumsby provide are covered by a 12-month or 24-month manufacturer warranty, depending on the manufacturer. Pricing for extended warranties is available upon request.

Equipment Testing Terms and Conditions

Please note a minimum charge of £12.50 per 15 minutes. Will be incurred by the customer. If customer equipment requires:
• TESTING
• ANALYSIS
• INSPECTION
• DIAGNOSIS
• FAULT INVESTIGATION
• WARRANTY TESTING (Depending on Manufacturer Warranty Agreement)

However, this fee will be deducted or refunded from the cost of any further Purchase, Repair, or Service the customer chooses to undertake with Smye Rumsby Ltd.
Smye Rumsby hold no responsibility for cost or replacement if customer equipment cannot be repaired.
Please note Carriage charges maybe incurred if equipment requires inspection by Manufacturer.
